I was a classmate of Mary Hill's, both at Carroll High and the University of Alabama. I was truly looking forward to our 30th class reunion this summer and to renewing our friendship. The news of her death is devastating, as I know it is to all of her family and friends. My heart goes out to all of you.

Jim, Virginia and to Mary's entire family....please accept my deepest condolences for the passing of Mary. What a wonderful person she was! I knew her well, both at Carroll high and at Wallace College. We got into such mischief together! Her laughter and crazy jokes still make me laugh! It hadn't been that long ago that I spoke with her...she was so proud of her new grandson! Although these days there were thousands of miles between us, she was a precious person whom I loved dearly, as she was an intricate part of my life's experiences. I'm proud to have known her! To you, the family: There are never enough words, never enough time, but always enough Love. You are in my prayers. Love, Maria Speight-Coutts Perth Scotland Carroll High 1976

Dear Allie, Matthew, and Virginia, Thank you so much for letting me know about your mom's passing. Although I have not known her but a little over a year, she became a special friend. Last August I lost my 21 year old son to cancer. Your Mom ask me to send her a picture of my son Eric. When I ask her why, she said, "when I get to heaven I will tell him hello for you". I can't tell you the emotions that I felt when she spoke those words. She as well as Eric will not have to suffer with Cancer anymore. I am so sorry for your loss. Words are not enough however, I am so thankful that God allowed me to meet Mary Hill Sollie. Terry Tindol
