Mr. Ivey was born and raised in Barbour County. He served in the United States Army during World War II and received a Purple Heart. He owned and operated Ivey Body Shop in Clio for 50 years prior to his retirement. He was of the Assembly of God faith and enjoyed going to gospel singings. Mr. Ivey was an avid hunter and loved to go fishing. He was a loving father and grandfather.
