Mr. Willis was a native and life-long resident of Dale County, living in Newton since 1957. He worked at Fort Rucker with the maintenance contractors for 32 years as an aircraft mechanic until his retirement. He was a member of Newton Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, a member of the Men's Sunday School Class, and sang in the Church Choir. He was a member of the Newton Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was an avid guitar and harmonica player. He was crazy about his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
