Obituary of Victor Patrick Taylor

Mr. Taylor was a native of Geneva, Alabama, and a 1941 graduate of Dothan High School where he was a cheerleader. He was known in High School as the "Jitter Bug King". During WW II he served with the U. S. Post Office and was later associated with his Father in Walden-Taylor Motor Company Ford Dealership in Ozark. He attended management schools at Ford Headquarters, Dearborn, Michigan and at Holiday Inns Headquarters, Memphis, Tennessee. He was Innkeeper and Manager of the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Restaurant in Ozark. He worked for many years with Garrett Furniture Company in Ozark, and later was Food Service Director with the Ozark Nursing Facility. He was a member since 1940 of the First United Methodist Church of Ozark and a charter member of the John Wesley Sunday School Class. He was a member and past President of the Ozark Kiwanis Club where he worked on many charitable and fundraising activities including the Kiwanis Clubs Boys and Girls summer camps. He has served as president of the Westview Memorial Cemetery Association since its inception. He was preceded in death by his parents, V. P. "Pat" and Josephine Taylor of Ozark.
