Obituary of Lillian Grace Goolsby

Mrs. Lillian Grace Goolsby, 93, of Pinckard, died Friday evening, February 4, 2005, in Flowers Hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 3:00 P. M. Sunday, February 6, 2005 at Pinckard Baptist Church with Reverend Andy Baril officiating. Interment will follow in Pinckard Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Ivey, Robert Borland, Jr., David Goolsby, Greg Goolsby, Jeff Goolsby, and Blake Goolsby. The family will receive friends at Pinckard Baptist Church from 1:30 P. M. Sunday until service time. Mrs. Goolsby was born July 13, 1911, to the late Ada Dunaway Beckham and Russell T. Beckham, in the Haw Ridge Community of Dale County. She was the oldest member of Pinckard Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School in the children's department and was President of the Women's Missionary Union for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J. B. Goolsby, and a special son-in-law, Robert E. Borland, Sr. Survivors include her daughter, Lillian Borland, Pinckard, three sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Jean Goolsby, Dothan, Harold and Patsy Goolsby, Pinckard, and Eugene and Charlene Goolsby, Enterprise, nine grandchildren, David Goolsby, Greg Goolsby, Rhonda Sanders, Tonya Goolsby, Jeff Goolsby, Blake Goolsby, Robert Borland, Jr., Beth Ivey, and Teresa Dean. Twenty great grandchildren also survive. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Pinckard Baptist Church, P. O. Box 188, Pinckard, Alabama 36371. Service Information
