Mr. Moss M. Swearingen, 94, of Montgomery, died Saturday, November 13, 2004 at the family farm in Pike Road, Alabama.
Funeral services will be graveside 1:00 P. M. Tuesday, November 16, 2004, in Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery with Reverend James McFarland officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
Mr. Swearingen was born in Montgomery County on July 27, 1910 to the late Annie Clyde Talley Swearingen and Eldred Manly Swearingen. His wife, Ethel Barnett Swearingen, preceded him in death.
Survivors include one son, John Manly Swearingen, Sr. and his wife, Margaret Marshall Swearingen, Pike Road, Alabama,
two grandchildren, J. Manly Swearingen, Jr., and Lisa Swearingen Lee, Pike Road, Alabama,
four great grandchildren, John Squire Lee, Harrison Barnett Lee, James Zachry Swearingen, and Elizabeth Ann Swearingen,
a very special caregiver, Ella Stovall of Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the American Bible Society, P. O. Box 1828, Merrifield, Virginia 22116, or to your favorite charity.
