I'm so sorry to know that Ruth passed. Death is never easy. We can have comfort in knowing that the God of all comfort have promised to help during this difficult time. 1 Corthians 1:3..the father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort.

Our family was blessed to live right next door to the Donohoos on Glenwood Lane since 1959. The Donohoos were the best neighbors anyone could ever ask for: Ruth, Tommy, Patricia, Daniel, and Donald (I think Daniel was minutes older?). Even the dogs, our Duchess and their Diana, were best friends! Tommy was the smartest, knows everything man I've ever met. Built his own garage, built his own small plane, knew everything about everything, could fix anything, and had all kinds of stories to tell. Ruth was always smiling, always ready to listen to whatever silly things we kids wanted to share with her, and always enjoying having all us kids visiting her kids and visiting her. She was a great cook, and frequently shared her home cooking with us ever-hungry Carlsons. The world would be such a beautiful place if everyone had neighbors like Tommy and Ruth. We will all miss her, but she had a long and happy life, and now she joins Tommy and Patricia.

A loving lady who touched so many lives during her time on earth. She will be missed by all. I wish I could be there at the service but can not get away from state testing responsibilities at school. My prayers are with your families.

We all loved Ruth and we will miss her. She was such a wonderful person. If Ruth every spoke a harsh word I'd like to meet the person who heard it. She was such a sweet women. Generous, kind, thoughtful and so very strong in her small stature. I'll always appreciate how great a neighbor she was.....how does one tolerate eight kids living next door? And yet, throughout those years, she always was thinking only to the benefit and welfare of those children.....just as if they were her own. Memories of those years are all we have now, but they are fond and will bring us joy for the rest of our lives. We, the Carlson family were so very lucky to have the Donohoo family as neighbors and friends for so many, many years. Goodbye to Ruth, God has a special place for you in his kingdom. Love, Gary
