We first met Dean at a family reunion. He had some great stories to tell about his time at Fox Studios in Hollywood. He and Ken struck up a friendship right away. Dean knew how to do everything! He was so smart and funny, and one of the kindest men I have ever met. When we were hit by a huge ice storm, Dean drove all night to help us dig out from the mountain of tree limbs that covered our property. He had tools for any job and taught us how to make storm cleanup easier. He worked for a full week without stopping. He even tried to help us with the cattle but finally admitted he wasn’t a cowboy!
Last winter we had a big freeze and there were no heaters for my chickens’ water pan. Dean suggested I put a heating pad under the plastic pan. It worked like a charm! He always seemed to find a solution for every problem. We will be lost without this wonderful man in our lives.
