Dear family, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I am sorry we were not able to attend the funeral. I was able to attend Forest's but did not get to see any of you. I will always cherish the memories of being around your mom and dad, and all of you as were grew up together. They were great people and I wish I could see all of you. May God bless you all. Mothers and Grandmothers are truly special gifts from God and Mable was no exception. Her Children and Grandchildren were blessed to have such a wonderful example of unconditional love, generosity, kindness, a welcoming spirit and graciousness. I'll always remember her that way and my childhood memories at her house are cherished. I will miss her dearly as I know you will. God bless you all and please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Tommy, Susie and family

Aunt Mable was a beautiful, lively lady, and a special part of my early years. Some of my best memories are of being at their house on Bingham Street. She was a dutiful daughter-in-law for Tom and Irene Leatherwood, and our family was much indebted to her for the loving care she provided to them in their later years. She will be remembered with great fondness. Beautiful, spirited, and kind--she will be missed.
