Kathy and Family, I have very fond memories of your father. When I was 16 he gave me my first real job digging swimming pools. He taught me a lot, like how to work hard and the importance of doing a good job. I will never forget the great advice he once gave me. He told me to never let your boss catch you leaning on a shovel. Throughtout my 30 years of Coast Guard service, I have often passed that advice along to those who served with me. God bless you.
